Two businesses. One website. One family.
Shoots & Roots handles trees, land and large projects. Its sister crew, Busy Blades, handles weekly mowing and yard care. We built one website that sends every customer to the right crew, and one Office that runs both businesses from a single sign-in.
The client
About Shoots & Roots + Busy Blades.
Shoots & Roots is a family-owned company that has handled tree trimming and removal, HOA work, land clearing, Bobcat grading and landscaping across Palm Beach, Martin and Saint Lucie Counties since 2010.
Busy Blades is the routine side of the same family: weekly and every-other-week mowing, edging and yard upkeep on a set schedule. The new website and Office replaced the old WordPress site and now run both businesses.

The challenge
What the project had to solve.
- 01
Two businesses, one family
Big tree and land jobs and weekly mowing are different work with different customers. Each crew needed its own identity without splitting the family into two websites.
- 02
The right crew, first time
A homeowner who wants weekly mowing and an HOA that needs fifty palms trimmed should each land in the right place in one or two taps.
- 03
Requests that never get lost
Calls, estimate requests and routine service signups had to land in one tracked list for the right business, not scattered across a phone, an inbox and a notebook.
- 04
One system, separate books
Both businesses needed one place to run estimates, jobs, crews and invoices, while keeping each one's customers and money apart.
The website
One homepage, two crews.
A single front door for the whole family, with a clear path to each crew.
Two crews from the first screen
The homepage opens on one family, then splits into a Shoots & Roots card and a Busy Blades card as you scroll, each with its own services and next step.
Free estimates and visit booking
Tree, land and large-project requests go straight into the Office as Shoots & Roots leads, and customers can pick an open time for the estimate visit.
Routine service signup
A Busy Blades form for weekly, every-other-week or monthly mowing and yard care, with yard size, gate and pet details.
Customer sign-in
Customers can see their estimates, approve them online and view invoices and history from one login.
Built for phones
A purpose-built phone layout with a call and estimate bar that stays on screen.
Set up for local search
Each service, the service area and both businesses are written out and marked up so Google understands them.
The Office
One Office. Two businesses.

How it connects
From one request to a paid invoice.
- 01Request on the site
- 02Sent to the right crew
- 03Lead in the Office
- 04Estimate or plan set up
- 05Job scheduled
- 06Crew on site
- 07Invoice paid
- 08Review requested
The website and the Office share one database, so nothing is copied from one tool to another. A request becomes a lead for the right business, the lead becomes an estimate or a service plan, the work becomes a job, and the job becomes an invoice.
