A preorder website and bakery system for a Jupiter Farms micro bakery.

Seaside Sourdough bakes in small batches that sell out. We built a website where neighbors preorder each week's bake, and the admin Danielle uses to run orders, pickups, deliveries, classes and her money.

The client

About Seaside Sourdough.

Seaside Sourdough is a small, locally owned micro bakery run by Danielle and her girls in Jupiter Farms. They bake naturally leavened breads, bagels, focaccia, cookies and more in small batches, with porch pickup and delivery around Palm Beach County and Hobe Sound.

The menu changes with every bake, so the website had to change with it, and stay simple enough for one baker to run.

The challenge

What the project had to solve.

  1. 01

    Bake to demand

Small batches sell out. Weekly preorder drops let customers reserve loaves ahead, with limits so the bakery only promises what it can bake.

  2. 02

Pickup and delivery without the back and forth

Customers needed to pick a porch pickup window or a delivery on their own, and delivery needed fair pricing by distance.

  3. 03

    Bring neighbors back every week

Regulars needed a reason and a reminder to come back: drop alerts, accounts and referral rewards.

  4. 04

One place to run the bakery

Orders, the menu, in-person sales, classes, texts and money needed to live in one admin, with logins for helpers.

The website

Built around the weekly bake.

Designed from a blank page around how a micro bakery actually sells.

  • Weekly preorder drops

Each bake opens as a drop with its own menu, limits per item and pickup times.

  • Pickup windows and local delivery

Customers choose a porch pickup window or delivery, priced by driving distance from the bakery.

  • Live stock and a basket timer

Items that can run out are held in a shopper's basket for ten minutes, so two people can't buy the last loaf.

  • Accounts, referrals and a first responder discount

Customers track orders and share a referral code for rewards, and first responders can apply for a standing discount.

  • Baking classes

Class pages with seat limits and booking, alongside the bread menu.

  • Drop alerts by text

A sign-up for texts when preorders open, with consent recorded for every subscriber.

The bakery admin

Client review

I couldn't be happier with the website that Scott created for my micro bakery! From the very beginning, he took the time to understand my vision and turned it into a beautiful, professional.

He captured all the little details that make my bakery special and created a site that is warm, inviting, easy to navigate, and incredibly user-friendly. It showcases my products beautifully and makes it so easy for customers to find what they're looking for and place an order.

As a small business owner, having a website that represents my bakery so perfectly means so much to me. His creativity, attention to detail, patience, and professionalism were outstanding throughout the entire process.

I highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone who can take an idea and turn it into something truly amazing. They didn't just build me a website—they brought my bakery's vision to life! 🍞🌊🤍

How it connects

From a fresh drop to a loaf on the porch.

  1. 01Drop opens
  2. 02Text alert sent
  3. 03Customer preorders
  4. 04Pickup time chosen
  5. 05Order on the board
  6. 06Baked and marked ready
  7. 07Ready text sent
  8. 08Picked up or delivered

The website, the admin and the text list share one database. A drop goes live on the site, the order lands on the board, and the customer hears when it is ready, without copying anything between apps.
