A dance studio website that moves like a performance.

OnPointe trains dancers from a first class with a grown-up all the way to competition season. We imagined what the digital side looks like when it gets the same care: a cinematic website, a class finder built on the real schedule, a portal families would actually use, and a dashboard for the front desk.

The studio

About OnPointe.

OnPointe Dance Studio teaches dancers of every age in Bonita Springs, from littles with a grown-up to a competition team, across two studios through the week.

This is an independent concept by Sea Grape Labs, shown with the studio's permission. It is not the studio's current website and is not connected to its real systems. Families, payments and inquiries in it are sample data.

The challenge

What the project had to solve.

  1. 01

Feel like a performing arts academy

A studio that trains dancers this seriously deserves a website with the same polish, from the very first screen.

  2. 02

A big schedule, easy to read

Many classes across two rooms and six days needed to be simple for a parent to filter by age, style, level and day.

  3. 03

    Clear tuition and policies

Families needed to see prices, fees, discounts and policies in one place, and estimate a month before they call.

  4. 04

Less juggling at the front desk

Inquiries, trial requests, families, payments and announcements needed one home instead of many.

The website

Built around the dancer.

Designed from a blank page around how families find a class and join the studio.

  • A cinematic opening

Lines of light draw the studio's name, then the homepage moves through every style the studio teaches as you scroll.

  • A class finder

Filter the real season schedule by age, experience, style, day and program, then open any class for details and dress code.

  • The week at a glance

Both studios side by side, so a parent can see the whole week and the busy evening block in one view.

  • Tuition made clear

Published prices, fees and discounts on one page, with an estimator that adds up a month for the whole family.

  • Join in five short steps

A guided path from which class to a trial request, with help from the front desk a tap away.

  • Every program in one place

Competition team, littles, camps, homeschool, adults, private lessons, parties and studio rentals.

The portal and dashboard

The studio, run from one place.

A parent portal for families and a dashboard for the owner and front desk, sharing the same information.

Shown with sample families, dancers and payments. Classes, times and prices are the studio's published information.

For families

  • Parent portalEach family's dancers, schedule, attendance, tuition, announcements, events and documents in one place.
  • Private lessonsRequest and keep track of private lessons from the portal.
  • Tuition and paymentsSee what is due, what is paid and the receipts for each dancer.

For the front desk

  • TodayThe day's classes, rooms and to-dos when the studio opens.
  • LeadsEvery inquiry and trial request, ready to follow up.
  • Students and classesFamilies, dancers and class rosters in one list.

For the owner

  • CommunicationsAnnouncements and messages to families, a class or the whole studio.
  • EventsRecitals, competitions and observation weeks with what families need to know.
  • ReportsHow enrollment, tuition and classes are doing across the season.

How it connects

From a first visit to a first recital.

  1. 01A family finds the studio
  2. 02They filter classes by age and style
  3. 03They estimate tuition
  4. 04They request a trial class
  5. 05The front desk sees the lead
  6. 06The family joins the studio
  7. 07Their portal shows the schedule
  8. 08Announcements and events arrive

In the concept the website, the portal and the dashboard share one set of information, so a trial request, a class change or an announcement never has to be copied from one place to another.
